The men of Fathering Together feel that it’s time we speak up even more clearly than we have before. Recent episodes of men bullying women in high profile settings, such as Rep. Ted Yoho calling Rep. Alexandrea Ocasio-Cortez a filthy name on the steps of the US Capitol, have made us realize we need to stand next to every daughter out there and say enough is enough.

This is nothing new, of course. We’ve known it for as long as we can remember, and, as we admit in this Public Service Announcement, our silence in the presence of misogynistic bullying and gender based violence has implied our consent.
Should it take having daughters to have the courage to speak up? No. But we can’t change what we’ve laughed off in the past. We can only repent and intentionally be better humans going forward.
Whether it’s the President of the United States or the guy next to me at the bar, I’m done being the guy next to the guy. I hope you’ll join me in supporting Fathering Together’s efforts to challenge men to be better.
